Y-SNP Haplogroup Hierarchy Finder supports batch search. User may submit a data file containing multiple Y-SNP records
and then download the results. Each Y-SNP record contains two columns, SNP ID (the Marker Name) and
Allele (the SNP). Here's the template in CSV (comma
separated value) format for user's Y-SNP data.
The search result is organized in two report files in CSV format and stored in a ZIP container.
Y-SNP Haplogroup Report - Each output record contains the SNP ID and the Allele in user's original
input file and followed by the identified mutation state as A (Ancestral), D (Derived), or U (Unknown),
and for each Derived mutation type the ISOGG Haplogroup is attached at the end. User may sort on
haplogroup in the report file to find the haplogroup specific derived mutation distribution and
supporting SNPs.
Y-SNP Haplogroup Hierarchy Report - All identified haplogroups with mutation type D can be grouped
to present the haplogroup hierarchy for the same root haplogroup. In this report top 3 haplogroup
hierarchies with the highest hierarchy depth along with the total suppornting SNPs are presented as
the summary part of the report. Under the summary all haplogroup hierarchies and their supporting
SNPs are presented and sorted by hierarchy depth as the detail part of the report.
At this point the Y-SNP haplogroup is based on ISOGG Tree 11 Jul 2020 Version 15.73 release.
